Replacing the Keyboard - Remote


Your keyboard remote can be replaced if it no longer works or has been damaged to the point where it can no longer be used

After receiving the new keyboard remote, open the small hatch on the back, and take out the USB receiver. 

This USB drive is the receiver that we must connect to the computer.      



Lü 2nd generation

Using a ladder, a scissor lift, or scaffolding, access the heart module located directly above your projection screen. 





Replace the old USB receiver with the one from the new keyboard remote. Make sure the USB cable exceeds properly under Lü's heart for the remote to work from a good distance. (See arrow in picture)

Once connected, the new keyboard remote should work within seconds if it's battery is fully charged.

Möbil

Under the main module of your mobile unit, you should see the USB receiver from the defective keyboard remote. Disconnect it and replace it with the one from the new keyboard remote. Once connected, the new keyboard remote should work within seconds if it's battery is fully charged.

Note that some mobile units have a USB extension cable under the main module allowing the transmitter to have a better signal. 
We recommend that you do not remove this cable.

Lü 1st generation

Using a ladder, lifting platform, or scaffolding, access the sound and light module. The transmitter is accessible from the underside of the light module, so you will not need to open it. Through the mesh of one of the moving lights, you can see the transmitter connected to a USB extension. You will have to disconnect the old transmitter at the end of this extension cable, then connect the one for the new keyboard remote. Once connected, the new keyboard remote should work within seconds if it's battery is fully charged.























If you have an issue, here are the steps to follow to resynchronise the connection between the remote and your Lü :
1. Disconnect the USB receiver from the computer (you can skip this step & #5 if you don't have access to the receiver)
2. Turn off the remote
3. Press F1 without releasing on the remote
4. Turn on the remote and release F1 immediately (the third light should blink really fast in orange on the remote)
5. Reconnect the USB dongle on the computer. (The orange light should stop blinking and there should be only the blue light on after)
You don't need to send us back the old remote, please recycle it the best way possible. We recommend Call2Recycle Program. https://www.call2recycle.org/
